0. Ladies and gentlemen, today I would like to present my vision of a dream home. This is a project on the theme "My Ideal Home". My main goal was to show visually what kind of house I would like to live in, and my task was to outline the location, appearance and contents of my dream house.

1. Для меня самый лучший город для жизни — это Сургут. Это в город, в котором я родилась и росла 18 лет. В Сургуте у меня живёт семья и много близких друзей, так что, закончив учебу в Томске, я бы очень хотела вернуться в родной город. Сургут — это небольшой городок, меньше Томска. Он располагается посреди тайги и болот. Сургут в центре нефтяного края, это город геологов, нефтедобытчиков и химиков.

1. First of all, for me, the best city to live in is Surgut. It is the city where I was born and grew up for 18 years. My family and many close friends live in Surgut, so when I finish my studies in Tomsk, I would really like to return to my hometown. Surgut is a small town, smaller than Tomsk. It is located in the middle of the taiga and swamps. Surgut is at the heart of the oil region; it is a city of geologists, oil miners and chemists.

2. Идеальный дом в Сургуте для меня — это квартира в высотке на одной из двух самых красивых улиц Сургута: улице Ленина или улице Университетской. На этих улицах находятся корпусы Сургутского Государственного университета, поэтому там всегда есть движение, много молодёжи. А ещё - очень красивый вид на Обь.

2. The ideal home in Surgut for me would be a flat in a high-rise on one of the two most beautiful streets in Surgut: Lenin Street or Universitetskaya Street. On these streets are the buildings of Surgut State University, so there is always traffic and a lot of young people there. And there is also a very beautiful view of the Ob River.

3. Идеальная квартира для меня находилась бы на каком-нибудь очень высоком этаже, ведь, чем выше тем красивее вид и можно увидеть больше неба.

4. Я мечтаю о просторной квартире, не слишком маленькой. Идеальная квартира для меня на данный момент, имеет кроме кухни, ещё две комнаты: гостиную и спальню. В ней есть небольшая гардеробная, а ванная не тесная. В моей квартире должны быть большие окна, это важно, ведь солнечный свет и погода делают настроение.

4. I dream of a spacious flat, not too small. The ideal flat for me at the moment has two rooms in addition to the kitchen: a living room and a bedroom. It has a small dressing room, and the bathroom is not crowded. My flat should have large windows, it's important, because sunlight and weather make the mood.

5. Интерьер кухни в моей квартире очень важен. Потому что я очень люблю готовить, и, всю жизнь, пока я не жила в университетском общежитии, я проводила в кухне очень много времени. Так, я хочу, чтобы в моей кухне было довольно много систем хранения, хорошие духовка и вытяжка. И вся мебель должна быть спокойных, приятных оттенков. Свет в кухне должен быть тёплым, но ярким.

5. The interior of the kitchen in my flat is very important. Because I really love to cook and, all my life, until I lived in a university dormitory, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen. So, I want my kitchen to have quite a lot of storage, a good oven and an extractor hood. And all the furniture should be in calm, pleasant shades. The light in the kitchen should be warm but bright.

6. Я хочу большую, светлую гостиную. Хочу, чтобы в ней было мало мебели и много места. Большой диван с кучей подушек, чтобы он мог вместить всей гостей на выходных и праздниках, мягкий светлый ковер, большой телевизор, картина на стене и шторы, не привлекающие к себе много внимания. В такой комнате зимой можно поставить пышную красивую рождественскую ель. На которой будет гирлянда с тёплым светом и игрушки розового и золотистого цветов.

6. I want a big, bright living room. I want it to have little furniture and lots of space. A big sofa with lots of cushions so that it can accommodate all the guests at weekends and holidays, a soft light carpet, a big TV, a picture on the wall and curtains that don't draw too much attention. You could put a lush, beautiful Christmas tree in such a room in winter. It would have a garland with warm lights and toys in pink and gold colours.

7. В своей спальне я хочу гигантскую кровать с мягким матрасом, и, самое важное - тёмные шторы, которые не пропускают свет. Ещё, я бы очень хотела иметь маленькую домашнюю библиотеку у себя в спальне. Уже сейчас у меня очень много книг, так что для них нужны красивые полки.

7. In my bedroom, I want a giant bed with a soft mattress and, most importantly, dark curtains that don't let any light in. Also, I would really like to have a small home library in my bedroom. I already have a lot of books, so I need nice shelves for them.

8. Когда к тебе приходят гости, первое, что они видят - прихожая. Поэтому эта часть квартиры должна быть удобной, лаконичной и очень красивой. В моей прихожей обязательно должно быть большое зеркало, места для хранения верхней одежды и обуви.

8. When guests come to visit you, the first thing they see is the entrance hall. So this part of the flat should be comfortable, concise and handsome.In my hallway, there should be a large mirror, places to store outerwear and shoes.

9. Моя мама говорит, что внешний вид ванной комнаты должен вызывать расслабление, а не напрягать яркими деталями. Поэтому, в ванной моей мечты не будет ничего лишнего, а все средства, полотенца и прочие вещи должны быть скрыты от глаз в мебели.

9. My mother says that the look of a bathroom should be relaxing, not stressful with colourful details. So, in my dream bathroom, there will be nothing superfluous, and all the products, towels and other things should be hidden from view in the furniture.

10. Скажу честно, я не очень люблю ухаживать за домашними растениями. Но в интерьере они нужны, потому что могут "оживить" комнату. Поэтому, возможно, я бы приобрела парочку больших комнатных растений, например, пальму.

10. to be honest, I'm not a big fan of taking care of houseplants. But you need them in the interior because they can "liven up" a room. So perhaps I would buy a couple of large houseplants, such as a palm tree.

11. Я очень сильно хочу собаку. Я люблю собак, как доберман, хаски, или стаффордширский терьер, который был у меня в детстве. Но сейчас я понимаю, что такой большой собаке тяжело жить в городской квартире, для них нужен простор. Поэтому я бы очень хотела, чтобы в моей квартире появился маленький славный корги.

11. I want a dog very badly. I love dogs, like a Doberman, a Husky, or a Staffordshire terrier, which I had as a child. But now I realise that such a big dog is hard to live in a city flat, they need space. So I would really like to have a nice little corgi in my flat.

12. Квартира мечты мне не нужна, если в ней рядом со мной не будет близких мне людей, поэтому, несмотря на всё, что я сказала, лучший дом тот, в котором тебя окружают любимые.

12. I don't need a dream flat if I don't have people close to me in it, so despite everything I said, the best home is the one where you are surrounded by people you love.
